Equine Assisted modalities-presented by Equusolutions, Inc. incorporates horses experientially for emotional growth and learning.  It is a collaborative effort between a licensed  therapist and a horse professional working with the clients and horses to address treatment goals.

See YouTube interview of Dr. Williams regarding Horse Corps., our program for military women.  For more information on this technology, click on this link:  http://youtu.be/l9rPZe1NWDk

Team Equus, our corporate program, provides to corporations the tools for team building & function analysis in a setting that allows businesses to locate and redefine their goals through working with horses.

Officers, managers, and subordinates learn from each other by role playing, creating for the corporation a well oiled machine of defined quality. Each participant has the ability to  take away an  understanding  and appreciation for the others 'role in the company, and areas requiring adjustment, new communication tools, etc.

All participants learn about themselves and others by participating in activities with the horses, and then processing, or discussing thoughts, perceptions, behaviors, and patterns.

Bio: Patricia L. Plount (Patte) Team Equine Specialist, Equusolutions founding board member,

Since the age of 10 Patte has been riding, breeding training and working with horses.  It was not until 1978 that she was able to purchase her own horses.  She then took on the daunting task, of breeding and training, a young Tennessee Walking Horse by the name of Dortia Marie.  Dorita soon had a colot, whom she named Whiskey's Black Velvet.  They enjoyed showing in both circuit and non circuit shows until life got in the way.  In 1985 Patte, her son Bill a cat named Shilo and Whiskey relocated to Florida .  Patte had the horse life many young girls dream of having.

In 2006, because of Patte's extensive 38 years of horse background, she was asked by Dr. Darlene Williams if she would be interested in joining her in a new modality of therapy involving horses called:  EAGALA.  Thus Patte agreed and went through a certification process.  Soon thereafter she and her Service Dog, Lil' Bear (who was trained to handle PTSD and other disorders)  became a part of the team.

In Loving Memory:  Sadly Lil' Bear left this life on May 27th 2014 due to cancer, he was a rescue dog as a puppy and enjoyed life for a brief 13 1/2 years.  While we miss him, we think of him across the divide with our other team members that have left us too soon.

Patte is looking for a new partner for her needs as well as to bring a new team member into the program.

One of our dear E.S. founding team member,Martle McNeil, & her faithful steed Gabriel, who served as our logo model have crossed over. May they ride the winds of eternity together.
